Alvaro Dal Farra replica RC dirt bike

Ricky MontiHow cool is this thing? You know you want one.

Remote control motorcycles aren't anything new, however well built RC dirt bikes are. When electronics retailer giant Radio Shack released the Ricky Carmichael replica RC dirt bike in 2003, hobbyists were happy, but they knew it would require a boatload of modifications to bring it up to par due to it's lackluster motor and underperforming suspension and handling characteristics. But with time, RC fanatics around the world began tweaking the toy, turning it into a souped-up version of the original with loads of custom parts. Eventually, the demand for the modified RC dirt bike grew so big that three passionate Italian machinists created AR Modelling to feed the masses tricked-out parts for Radio Shack's half-baked creation.

After two years of producing one-off custom accessories for the bike, AR Modelling's Antonio Berera, Andrea Poletti and Roberto Cocchi decided it was time to create their own remote control dirt bike in 2007. Since its release, their RC dirt bikes have become much more technologically advanced and are currently labeled as the best on the market. Their flagship model, the ARX Pro, is available with either an electric motor or nitro motor, and will soon be available with a custom Alvaro Dal Farra graphics scheme.

Debuting the new Dal Farra model at Milan's EICMA bicycle and motorcycle trade show, AR Modelling showed off what the bike is capable of, even jumping it over 75 feet on a full-size FMX ramp-to-dirt setup. With Christmas around the corner, the ARX Pro could very well be the perfect gift for your FMX-loving family member, but do take note, it'll set you back a pretty penny with the ARX 540 ranging anywhere from 300 to 650 euro.
