Freestyle Motocross Movie - 'Bro' Official Teaser

dead KING

It sounds like the release of the 'Bro' film has been delayed slightly but the actual movie teaser has been released. I, personally, am more looking forward to the raw acting and character representation. Any movie can go get good FMX riders to throw down but finding good riders that can throw down on character is a whole other game. Danny Trejo is a huge bonus here and I think Beau Manley may end up bringing it. On camera it's feeling like he's got presence and could help carry this film to the respect it duely needs. You make the call.....

Sep 20, Freestyle Motocross Half Pipe Wall Ride

At x-games i saw Travis Pastrana basically master the back of the megaramp by wall riding it. Other riders didn't even come close to him, and to me that was something different. If a wall ride could be put into a half pipe: 1.) more speed could be gained, 2.) people could do caveman type tricks and like, alot of different stuff and 3.) its just gnarly. But back to the original subject of a half pipe, why are we questioning this idea? Lets show the other extreme sports that fmx is not only more gnarly at jumping, but at half pipes to. Maybe in the future somebody will figure out a way for us to grind?

Before you take off down the page, allow me to enlighten you...
Below the interview with "Maddo" is a form about FMX and Half Pipes,
Why don't you leave a comment about the future of half-pipes in FMX
and let's see what happens. Robbie Maddison Interview

Despite a heavy fall at the X-Games just weeks before the Red Bull X-Fighters season finale in London, Robbie Maddison still pushed 2009 overall champion Nate Adams all the way in the British capital. In an interview, the Australian record holder and runner-up in the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2009 talks bike problems, disappointment and goals for next year.

Robbie, congratulations on second place in the overall standings, but I imagine you couldn't have been happy with your run in the semi-final. It looked like you had several problems with the bike, can you tell us what happened?
I definitely had some bad luck. The throttle played up & we broke a throttle housing in practice. We put a new throttle housing on, but it was actually bent and it was locking the throttle up. So we replaced that, and then I went out there and had a problem with my flip lever. I had some trouble putting it down and couldn't get the clutch and stalled the motor, but that was just the start of my problems! After stalling the motor I came off the run-in to one of the doubles on the double-double. From then on I missed the ramp and knew my run was done. It's hard to swallow, especially in the semi-final.

How disappointed were you that your chances of claiming the overall championship win ended in such a way against one of your biggest rivals and best friends?
I was definitely disappointed because I was so close. Nate and I are neighbors, but we're such tough competitors; we're good friends, but at the same time we're always keeping an eye on each other and he one-upped me & he had an ace up his sleeve. He's been putting in hard work at the end of the season, and I've had a really rough ride the last couple of weeks, so it's just the way it goes.

Are there any lessons you can take from this experience, or is it too early for that?
I think I learned something from this year: I really need to not make myself so busy next year jumping Tower Bridge and all these other things I've done in between the freestyle has really upset my training, so I'll really try to focus next year. I try to find a positive in every situation.

Third place in 2008, second place in 2009 and first place in 2010?
Yeah, it's moving forward slowly! I would have liked to go from third to first, but hey, at least I'll get a one, two and a three on the mantel piece eventually.

Looking ahead to next year, what are your expectations for the 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour?
Next years expectations for the Red Bull X-Fighters Tour are that I'm going to go back and really dedicate myself to the Red Bull X-Fighters championship. I'm going to learn some new tricks in the foam pit and keep it quiet and really work on my fitness because at the start of the year I was really fit, but then with the injuries I haven't been able to train and my fitness had slid and morale has dropped. I really want to come in next year and keep the morale high all year and just do what Mat Rebeaud did two years and win every stop, it makes it way easier!

Freestyle Motocross Movie - 'Bro'

FMX Life Some reports are suggesting that the Metal Mulisha's Beau Manley and Colin Morrison may be working on a second film already where they play much more of the acting role than stunt / FMX rider. Action sports fans will flock to theaters for the awaited premiere of 'BRO' the film / movie. No matter how it turns out it will most definitely bring more new fans and enthusiasts to our world which hopefully means more money and generated revenue to those who make its world turn (the riders). We want to make sure that we are on the up and up so if you have anymore info on 'BRO' please feel free to comment or report. Just make sure it's factual.

Freestyle Motocross Movie - 'BRO' the film - Beau Manley / Colin Morrison

dead KING

Our friend Ryan Leyba over at ESPN recently reported on the FMX full length feature film 'BRO' starring freestyle motocross legends, Beau Manley and Colin "Scummy" Morrison. The film is directed by Nick Parada and also features Danny Trejo (Desperado), Will Chavez, Alexandra Mason, Rebekah Graf and Larry Fessenden (horror film producer). The 'BRO' film score will feature some well known action sports music from many Suburban Noize heavy hitters (SRH record label) such as Kotton Mouth Kings, Big B, La Coka Nostra, Swollen Members and Sen Dog (Cypress Hill). FMX Life and Action Sports Mag are foaming at the mouth to see this flick as it is reported that both Beau Manley and Colin Morrison give exceptional first outings in the acting realm (for a couple of Metal Mulisha dirt bike riders). The movie is already done shooting and we will keep you posted on it's release date.
